“TIGRATO” is a Gelateria and Bar near Yotsuya station managed by energetic bartender. They make 12 to 20 flavors of gelato using seasonal fruits, herbs and vegetables all the time. All of them are handmade at the studio inside the store.
Director, Yusuke Takamiya has received many of cocktail competition prizes and been known for signature cocktails using fresh materials. Gelatos are produced by his cocktail making skills.
Mr. Takamiya says, “’I’m hoping to serve gelatos that taste simple but rich flavor of raw material with minimal use of artificial additives.” He force-ripes the fruits at the studio to bring out sweetness and aroma at their best. When they are ready, he uses them whole for gelato. At the present, Mr. Takamiya travel around the country looking for the producers that can sell fruits to him directly.
On the other hand, rich taste is an attractive point of the standard flavors such as Gorgonzola, chocolate, pistachio and milk. To adjust to the state of materials, the recipes for them are always updated. So, you may enjoy different flavor of them by seasons.
“TIGRATO” prepares the cocktail flavored gelato for adults, such as Mojito gelato. Please pay attention to pairing of gelato and cocktail like plum gelato and Mojito.
It is like an oasis that children and family in the neighborhood, elderly people and bar hoppers come to have a comforting time.
