In Musashi-koyama, there is a well-known baked confectioneries store “pâtisserie de bon cœur.” “DIXANS” is the café located near Suidobashi station where people can enjoy the marriage of the sweets from the store and authentic espresso drinks.
Inside of the café, mortar walls and iron and wooden vintage furniture produce an impressive industrial space. The employees bring out their own art works including sensitive pencil drawings, which give accent to the interior.
The leading stars of “DIXANS” are the cakes in a showcase. They are beautiful like jewels. There are 9 or 10 kinds of cakes. “Mont Blanc,” “Layered cheesecake with camembert and mascarpone,” and “Shirokane Roll” are their classic ones. And they also have 3 kinds of seasonal cakes. Takeout is available.
Every cake from “pâtisserie de bon cœur” has very rich taste. DIXANS’ deep roasted coffees are aromatic, delicately sweet and bitter. They are selected to match those cakes.
The representative of this café, Ryosuke Motoyama says that he found “TERA COFFEE and ROASTER” from Okurayama when he was looking for deep roasted coffee that would go well with the cakes. You have a sip of coffee and a bite of cake, and again have a sip of coffee… Every sip and bite may give you different impression. He is hoping to offer the deepness of combining coffee with cake.
Don’t miss only their cakes but also 4cm-thick toast. They stock loaves of bread from “EPEE” in Kichijoji. And they cut 9cm-square cube brown sugar bread in half, toast them and serve with nice salty butter. It goes great with coffee and café latte because of brown sugar.
You can visit DIXANS any time of the day for different occasions. Please come and enjoy the harmony when you have toast or delightful cake with coffee.
