The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum
The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is located within the Tokyo Dome site. This museum is very popular for its precious exhibition of Professional, Amateur, College, High School, Little League and Women’s baseball.



In the museum, there are a closed stack library and Baseball Hall of Fame praising the people who put a great contribution to the development of Japanese baseball. Also, many of former and present players’ favorite equipments are exhibited in a room. You can see the history and development of baseball in Japan.


Regular exhibition is divided in sections of professional, amateur and history. The first section you would see is professional baseball. There are a set of uniforms, bats and gloves used by representative players or managers of 12 clubs. Displays are reconsidered at off season for exchange.

History of Baseball section introduces histories of the former great players such as Sadaharu Oh, Sachio Kinugasa, Masaichi Kaneda and Yutaka Fukumoto. There are their uniforms and gloves from the time they played. Also, the documents of World Baseball Classic, the letters related to the beginning of traditional game between Waseda and Keio University, and the first rule book of baseball organized in United States, 1845. Origin and introduction of baseball to Japan is well explained.

Baseball Hall of Fame is located at the end. It has established since opening of this museum in 1959. There are selected players from both professional and amateur, umpires, and people who had great contributions to baseball. 197 people are selected by today and introduced in the hall. To praise their achievement, their portraits made by bronze are displayed.
